Courses of Study

Preschool Dance - Designed for children three to four years of age. Ballet, tap, tumbling, and creative movement are taught to emphasize strength, coordination, and creativity.

Combination Classes - Designed for children five to seven years of age. Combination classes allow the young dancer to experience other forms of dance while continuing the study of the fundamentals. Super Combo - Ballet and tap one week. Jazz and tumbling every other week.

Dance for all ages:

Ballet - Classical ballet originated in France during the era of Louis XIV. Being very graceful and elegant – It is ‘The dance of Kings.’ Ballet is considered the foundation of dance. It provides the fundamental building blocks upon which all other forms of dance are based. All dancers need a solid ballet formation.

Tap - Tap dancing is an ‘American’ dance art that emphasizes rhythm and coordination.

Jazz - Since the 1920s, the term “jazz dance” has been used to describe a constantly evolving form of popular dance. It is a reflection of our popular culture, and as the culture changes so does the style of jazz dance. Jazz dancing changes with each passing era.

Hip Hop - The current trend of jazz dancing today as seen in music videos performed to popular music.

Modern/Lyrical - A free form and experimental dance form characterized by expressive movement.
